In the world of air show performers, nothing is more retro than the wing walker act. Shortly after WWI, pilots would fly into small towns trying to sell rides to pay for their plane and gas. To attract attention, they would have someone walk out on the wing and wave to the gathering crowd. This photo depicts the Silver Wings Wingwalking Team, as seen at the 2005 MCAS Miramar Air Show.
